Naturalization is the process by which an immigrant who meets certain requirements becomes a US citizen. When you are naturalized, you accept all of the responsibilities of a citizen. Also, you can get all of the benefits and privileges of a citizen.
The U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) has prepared A Guide to Naturalization which explains who can apply for US citizenship and how to complete the application.
If you need more information about the naturalization process and you live in the continental United States, you may call Customer Service at no charge 1-800-375-5283 for help.
For help please reach out to Western Illinois Dreamers (WID). WID seeks to empower immigrant and refugee communities by informing them of their rights and securing resources that will foster their successful integration into society.
