How can I enroll in the WIC program?

WIC is a food assistance program for Women, Infants, and Children. It helps pregnant women, new mothers, and young children eat well and stay healthy. Use the Pre-Screening Tool to find out if you might qualify for WIC.

If you qualify, you will receive a WIC EBT card (works like a debit card) to buy healthy food like fruits and vegetables, eggs, cheese, cereal, milk, and peanut butter. You will also receive information about nutrition, healthy eating, breastfeeding, and other services.

Health departments deliver WIC services in western Illinois. Find your local health department to apply for WIC using the office locator tool
