How can I apply for WIRC's college or vocational scholarships?

Western Illinois Regional Council (WIRC) offers college scholarships and vocational (trade school) scholarships for qualifying western Illinois residents.

Vocational (trade school) Scholarships

You can apply for up to $2,000 to help pay for a vocational program at a trade school or community college. Income limits apply, and the program gives preference to applicants pursuing high-demand employment fields. More information is available on WIRC's website. WIRC offers vocational scholarships on a rolling basis, so there are no application deadlines. You can start the process by submitting a request or using the chat function.

College Scholarships

Each spring, WIRC offers college scholarships for area residents. Scholarships are open to high school seniors planning to attend college, students already in college (first four years), and non-traditional students planning to return to college. Income limits apply. More information is available on WIRC's website
